Ruan came to CROP by way of his hometown, Juiz de Fora, Brazil. His Grandfather played professional soccer, and Ruan followed in his footsteps, and added motocross racing to the playlist.
He studied engineering and ran his own sales company in Brazil.
Ruan discovered that he enjoyed photography and videography, especially at sporting events like motocross.
In 2014, he was invited to Jacksonville to join his friend’s production company. A small team of four, Ruan quickly learned the roles of producer and editor. After purchasing his own camera, he began freelancing in Jacksonville. He works with his family assisting their wedding photo company on the weekends.
When Ruan finds the time, he loves to play music, learn the latest tech, and photograph his wife- a favorite muse.
His role at CROP is ever-changing, but the WTA segment is his largest focus.
Fun fact: Pão De Queijo, pronounced Pown-Deh-Kay-Zho is a specialty cheese bread from his hometown. They have become popular starters in Brazilian Steak Houses across the U.S.
